Angry Trump ignores advisers and says he will ‘protect women whether they like it or not’

Donald Trump said he is going to “protect” women whether they “like it or not” in an excruciating attempt to get votes.
During a rally in the swing state of Wisconsin, where he showed up in a bright orange high vis vest and struggled to open the truck door, the 78-year-old vowed to support women.
“I want to protect the women of our country,” said Trump, who mentioned that his staff told him: “We think it’s very inappropriate.”
Trump is doing poorly in the polls with women of color and white women, a demographic that is helping Kamala Harris remain competitive in swing states.
“Well, I’m going to do it. Whether the women like it or not, I’m going to protect them,” Trump said
“I’m going to protect them from migrants coming in. I’m going to protect them from foreign countries that want to hit it, hit us with missiles and lots of other things.”
Trump then asked: “Is there any woman in this stadium that wants to be protected by the president?”
One of the main reasons that Harris is doing well with women is due to her strong stance on women’s rights to control their bodies.
Trump has not done himself any favors, since he refuses to campaign with Nikki Haley, a woman who could help paint Trump in a different light.
Trump’s appearance at the rally was themed around garbage, which President Joe Biden called Trump’s supporters.
He leaned into it today, arriving at the arena in a garbage truck with an orange vest.
